DR SAMANTHA BRENTON
DENTIST/OWNER
Dr Samantha Brenton – a native Newfoundlander, has been in private practice since 2013. She completed a Bachelor of Science at Memorial University then continued her studies at Memorial to receive her Masters degree in Public Health. In 2009, she moved to Halifax to attend Dalhousie University where she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. She returned to St. John’s and practiced dentistry before deciding to settle down in Moncton, New Brunswick. Since moving to Moncton, she has been practicing alongside her husband Dr Sheamus Kearns.
Dr Brenton is committed to advanced continuing education, attending lectures throughout Canada and the US. She has completed specialized training in oral and nitrous oxide sedation, cosmetic dentistry and is an Invisalign provider. She is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the New Brunswick Dental Society.
Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her husband Sheamus, three daughters Rory, Nora and Emmy and French bulldog Pearl.
DR SHEAMUS KEARNS
DENTIST/OWNER
Dr Sheamus Kearns was born and raised in Moncton. He completed a Bachelor of Science at Mount Allison University and then attended Dalhousie University’s Doctor of Dental Surgery Program where he graduated in 2011. Upon completing his dental degree, Sheamus was accepted into the one-year hospital dental residency program at Mount Sinai Hospital in Downtown Toronto. The residency focused primarily on treating dental emergencies, trauma as well as the treatment of severely medically compromised and special needs patients. Sheamus has been in private practice alongside his wife Dr Samantha Brenton since moving back to New Brunswick.
Dr Kearns enjoys the variety of general dentistry and is committed to providing the best treatment possible for all of his patients. He has completed specialized training in oral and nitrous sedation as well as implant dentistry, which is his particular area of interest. He is focused on continuing his education and staying progressive in all fields of dentistry. He is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the New Brunswick Dental Society.
Dr Kearns is the co-owner of Tusk Dental and looks forward to being involved in the community. Outside of the office, Sheamus loves spending time with his wife Samantha, daughters Rory, Nora and Emmy and dog Pearl. He enjoys trying new food, taking in local music, traveling and playing golf and hockey.
SHANNON
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Shannon graduated from Oulton College in 2013 and has worked in the dental field since 2019. She is married, has a daughter and 2 dogs. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outside and on the water with family and friends.
TRACEY
DENTAL HYGIENIST
Tracey graduated from Dalhousie University in 1989 and has been in private practice as a hygienist for 29 years. She has been married for 24 years and has a son and a daughter. She enjoys spending time outdoors by the water, snowshoeing, bicycling, traveling, playing the piano and being involved in her church.
TAYLOR
DENTAL HYGIENIST
Taylor graduated from Oulton College in 2014 and has been in private practice ever since. She enjoys outdoor activities such as four wheeling, snowshoeing, and running, as well as traveling and spending time with her husband and two sons.
MICHELLE
DENTAL HYGIENIST
Michelle graduated from Dalhousie University in 2008 and Oulton College in 2011 and has been in private practice ever since. Michelle grew up in Riverview. She is married and has a daughter (Anastasia), and a cat. She enjoys cooking and exploring restaurants in the GMA as well as spending time with family and friends.
ALLISON
DENTAL ASSISTANT
Allison graduated from Oulton College as a Level II Dental Assistant in 2014, and has been working with Dr Brenton ever since. She is originally from Cape Breton, NS. Allison is married with three children. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling and being outdoors.
MELISSA
DENTAL ASSISTANT
Melissa graduated from Holland College in Charlottetown PEI as a Level II Dental Assistant in 2004 and has been in private practice ever since, while also having experience in pediatric dentistry. She enjoys outdoor activities such as biking and cross country skiing. Melissa has been married for 20 years and has two daughters. She loves spending time with family and friends, but her biggest enjoyment is watching her girls play their favorite sports, and cheering them on!
